According to one commentator, Orlando Ferguson are "seance sonic and trans-timebending drone/noise merchants". What we do know is that they are named after the author of a rather fine flat-earth map, and self-released seven albums in their first nine months of being.

Flamingo Creatures (Berlin/Cologne)
FLAMINGO CREATURES (Free Improv, Electro-Acoustics - Berlin/Cologne)
Ruth-Maria Adam and Ronnie Oliveras have been around as part of the Datashock collective for quite a few years now, but their adventures as a duo are mostly undiscovered. Flamingo Creatures combining fearless experimentalism with a great sense of humor and an intoxicating playfulness in their approach to music making. With the help of electronics, bells, a violin and various percussion instruments the couple develops musical dialogues that speak to you in the most handsome way one can think of. Like Hans-Joachim Roedelius waltzing with Joan La Barbara while Smegma play (quietly) in the back.
Review of “Nacht Fressen” by Peter Goodwin, goldrush festival fanzine.
“Unconventional music, similary to abstract painting, can be created not merely for evident beauty or relatable meaning but rather to evoke an emotion that lays deeper, beyond whatever is visible (or audible) on the surface. [...] this release is neither shallow nor pedantic. quite the contrary, nacht fressen is a truly insane case study on noise, ambience and field recordings. appreciating it as a true work of art is a no brainer.”

DANIEL VOIGT (Tape Experiments, Drone Soundscapes, Fieldrecordings - Frankfurt).
Augmented by effectpedals & mixer treatments Daniel Voigt blends a Musique Concrète approach (cutting up tapes and looping sounds with the help of several walkmen) with the cosmic aesthetics of Krautrock to make his music sound like love child of Delia Derbyshire and Klaus Schulze. His music was released on various international tape labels, such as Digitalis, Hobo Cult, Skell LLC & Cosmic Winnetou. Voigt is also the man behind the SicSic Tape label, a home port for a lot of outer limits travelers that are sharing the vision for deep zoned-out music & DIY culture.

More experimental noises. Not necessarily in this order.

++ Raeppen: Shamanic, Sami influenced drones and rhythms from a nomadic traveller.
++ Legion of Swine: LEGION OF SWINE from Leeds works with drones, field recordings, noise samples and loops. Speech fragments are taken from news reels, reconstructed to make samples for decomposing social phenomena, to make them, visible, audible. Where Public Enemy understood themselves as Black CNN, LEGION OF SWINE can be understood as a Live Noise Blog, that formulates the discomforts and isolation that construct society. The collapsing of relations and the violence that forces this unease is put into sound as well as the reflection of the negativity these conditions create. The times of agitprop punk are long gone – the critic and the negation of hegemonic relations become noise, distortion, toxic in LEGION OF SWINE. No instruction, but cracks open up and traces are set – Fight the Power, somehow!
Legion of Swine has performed in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden and the UK.
++ Orlando Ferguson: Taking the name of the 19th Century author of a particularly fine 'flat earth' map, Orlando Ferguson construct longform pieces from a variety of instrumentation: "FOR FANS OF BBC RADIOPHONIC WORKSHOP STYLE SPACE NOISE! ... They basically sound like something between the ever-looping whitenoise roar of post-apocalyptic radio static and the long-lost instrumental beds of some creeped-out 60s British black and white sci-fi series soundtrack. Like the Tardis taking off - IN YOUR BRAIN. Every track is like an hour long or whatever.Truthfully, it's ridiculous how great their stuff is."
++ Lorenzo Abattoir | (aka Nascitari)_Italian based sound engineer & noise artist since 2008, founder of several projects with various international noise artists. He works as a solo artist or with the electroacoustic collective Mare di Dirac in which realized ritualistic performances with the use of field recording, microsound and unconventional musical instruments with the natural sound effects of various locations. He has published some releases as Nascitari & Mare di Dirac (Greytone records) and several live session in Europe & United States | Lorenzo start a new collaboration in 2013 called “Psicopompo” with the german composer Hermann Koop, who created soundtracks of Jorg Buttgereit’s movies (Nekromantic / Dertodesking).
++ Clive Henry has been actively pursuing sound for over twenty years. whilst he has done this in bands and looser groupings, his solo work has seen him pick an untutored route through “noise” and associated areas. his work has often been autobiographical, with recurring themes and ideas including: dissonance, the process of decay, and the human body as instrument. recent recorded work has concentrated on noise textures and “harsh noise walls”, as well as pieces more clearly akin to musique concrete; whilst live performances have utilised vocal work and a commitment to physicality and tension. his formative experiences in music occurred within the DIY punk/hardcore scene and the values of this community continue to inform his musical activities and beliefs. he was a founder member of the Bang The Bore collective, who have organised gigs and occurrences around the uk. he has played across europe and the us, and been heard on radio 1. he lives alone in southampton, with no friends but hundreds of noise tapes which all sound the same. He dislikes writing short bios.

A1: neuschlaufen - Repetitive Strain
B1: Orlando Ferguson - Extract from "Our Heads are Bowed, but our Hearts They Soar"
The first wonkystuff release pairs live recordings from neuschlaufen and Orlando Ferguson on a split cassette release. Both recordings were made live at the Woolpack Inn (York). neuschlaufen's effort is typically raw, straight-to-stereo; Orlando Ferguson take a more measured approach to create a soundtrack for a hidden horror movie.
First edition of 9 copies in numbered, handmade cardboard box.
The neuschlafen / Orlando Ferguson split cassette, displaying the label’s premier catalogue number contains a track by each act, each with a running time around the 15-minute mark. Neuschlafen’s ‘Repetitive Strain (edit) is a thumping psychedelic jam centred around a relentless motorik beat and looping bassline. Orlando Ferguson, meanwhile, offer an eerily atmospheric work that drifts ominously. A piece that would comfortably sit on the soundtrack to a sci-fi movie, it conjures images of alien landscapes and of rocks drifting in space.
